Neanderthaloe Tree Aloe
Tree Aloes are fascinating and enduring subjects in the landscape. Once installed, they are heritage plants, providing a look of living sculpture easily spanning centuries of timeless beauty. If you’re not a “tree-hugger,” you want to become one, as you wrap your arms around “elephant knees” and leathery “rhino rumps” of the animal-like bark and girth of these curious plants. ‘NEANDERTHALOE’ is the only variety of tree aloe that crowns itself with masses of beautiful yellow-orange flowers in winter; and has clean, disease-free foliage. More moderate in mature size, not the house-eater that Aloe bainesii can be. Hardy to mid-20’s.
